Flipping is Hard moves Flippy through rotation and a vibration jump. Start by learning how small inputs affect position, then decide whether to practice with optional Chill Mode checkpoints. The official game also includes quick restarts and built-in splits for speedrunning.

Understand what you control

The official premise is a climb through ten areas to reunite a phone named Flippy with Jeff. Rotation and a vibration jump replace ordinary walking. A small mistake can cause a large fall. Read the current in-game controls before practicing: this guide does not invent keyboard bindings, controller shortcuts or hidden movement tricks.

As a practice suggestion, repeat a short, recoverable section and change one input at a time. Watch the difference between starting position and landing position. This is a general learning approach, not a tested exploit or a guaranteed route through a particular obstacle.

Choose checkpoints deliberately

Steam describes optional Chill Mode as a way to enable checkpoints and enjoy a more forgiving climb. It is useful to consider if your first priority is seeing the story. If you prefer a punishing climb, choose the settings that match that goal and inspect the consequences in-game before a long attempt.

Do not assume a checkpoint-enabled run belongs in the same competitive category as another ruleset. The store feature description does not define community leaderboard rules.

Prepare for a speedrun

Quick restarts and built-in splits are advertised features. First finish or learn a manageable route, then use splits to identify where practice would help. Keep notes on your version, mode and timing method if you plan to compare attempts. Consult the particular leaderboard's current rules before submission; this site has not verified a world record, optimal path or accepted timing convention.

Side challenges and playing with friends

The official description includes 16 NPC challenges and cosmetic customization. Complete objectives according to the instructions you actually see rather than relying on an alleged universal unlock code. See codes and unlock evidence for the limits of current information.
